OPEN YOUR MIND TO PROSPERITY

You are as prosperous as you decide to be!

Does this sound too good to be true? It's not. The first step to success is deciding that you want it and that you'll do whatever it takes to get it. Many people say they want success, but in reality, they don't want the responsibility that accompanies it. When you've made your decision that it is worth it, you must give deliberate, bold, conscious attention to your prosperity. The following are steps that you can take immediately which will produce quick results.

  •           When you open your mind to happiness and prosperity, you open your mind to a world of possibilities. You must know WHAT you want. You don't really know what you want unless you can WRITE IT with specific dates, description, and dollar amounts. Write it in handwriting and in the present tense. State it as if your goal were already being accomplished-"I am….." Keep your goal statement handy so that you can read it and rewrite it frequently.

  •           Next, CREATE A VACUUM in the area that you are attempting to enrich. Nature abhors a vacuum and when you create one it will supply what you desire to fill the empty space. You can create a vacuum by cleaning out the old to make room for the new. Clean closets, drawers, garages, files, cars, and everything in your life. You become stagnant, stale, and prevent movement toward desired changes when old unneeded things remain in your life. If you want to have success on a shopping trip for clothes, clean out your closet. My friend took my advice recently and before she could go shopping she was given an incredible, practically new wardrobe by someone who no longer fit into her size. She created a vacuum and it was filled!

  •           Express a prosperous attitude by SPEAKING OUTLOUD. Express prosperous attitudes by speaking to yourself and others in conversations several times a day in a positive way that you expect success. You cannot expect to get the goals you've written if you tell yourself and your friends that you know it won't happen to you in your words.

  •           IMAGINE WITH FEELING the things you desire. Imagination creates your world! You are the sum total of your dominant thoughts. Think conscious thoughts about your goals. Imagine them with feeling. Your subconscious mind, which is being programmed by your imagination, cannot tell the difference between something real and something imagined with feeling. The best time to imagine is before bed at night.

  •           CREATE A GOAL CHART with pictures and words that specifically represent your desires.

Take hold of your thoughts and feelings and redirect them toward your specific prosperity and success goal. Conditions can change as quickly as you can change your thinking about them. Find more information about each of these success steps in the book Are All Your Pieces in Place?. To make sure you are proceeding correctly on an easy, quick-start program, read the book Three NO-FAIL Techniques.

"STRESSED"-it's DESSERTS spelled backwards

It takes energy and awareness to feel and think of yourself as prosperous. Do you think eating sugar, candies and pastries can make you stressed? I'm sure you've noticed the connection, but if you haven't please be informed that the 'pickup' you think you'll feel from a candy bar really gives you a big-time low. Eating the right kind of carbohydrates not only gives you real energy-it supplies the kind that doesn't create depression or stress. It actually supplies nutrients that result in a mental and emotional pickup as well as a physical one. The right kind of carbohydrates are those grown by nature. Have you ever picked, in any garden, a piece of cake or a candy bar? Of course not! You can, however pick fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Look at what you are eating. Does it remotely resemble the way it was picked? Is it a potato that looks like a potato-or is it in the form of a French fry? Carbohydrates provide glycogen, (fuel for the brain and the muscles) for about three hours. When you feel tired, you've probably used what you've eaten and it's time to replenish yourself.

You can actually control your stress and your moods by making wise choices about the foods you give your physical body. Eat breakfast! You wouldn't ask your car to take you very far if it didn't have any fuel. The least you can do is treat your body as good as your car.

Eat several small meals throughout the day to supply your body with steady nutrients before you nutritionally "hit the wall". Sweat a little. Exercise is powerful in supplying your body energy and your brain positive think power. When you exercise you have a better ability to focus and extra endorphins seem to make a positive point of view easier. This is a great way to prevent being a "negaholic". Negaholics aren't drinkers, but they do spend a lot of time staring into a glass-the half empty kind. They focus more on negative than positive

In a Duke University study nearly 40% of depressed patients relying on drugs were stricken with depression again within six months, versus 8% of those who exercised.

You're consuming 10 teaspoons of sugar every time you pop open a 12 ounce can. For the average American that adds up to a whopping 332 pounds of sugar annually or 15 l/2 pounds of weight gain. Drinking soda will result in a depletion of calcium in the body. It can cause tooth decay and cause or affect an already established blood sugar problem, as well as promote stress.
